THE NEW PPC OF SNPS

The new PPC of the Sto. Nino Parish Shrine was recently inducted into service by Rev. Fr. Aloy during the Charismatic Mass of 10:00 am, March 3, 2013.

The new set up of officers were composed differently with the previous PPC for the TRICOM group is eliminated, henceforth giving our Parish Priest a direct line of function to the Execoms and the Parish Priest.

Execom Heads represent the Ministries, Worship, Social Services, Finance, Education, Catechetical, Youth, RRIB, Childrens, Family and Life, and Soccom. All the heads of these Ministries report directly to The Parish Priest.

The New officers were oath to take a service of one year, and there after will renew every year depending on their availability and performance.

Biography

Rev. Fr. Enrique Aloysius Ma. S. Aliño (Father Aloy) is presently assigned as a Parish Priest at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Vicar Forane of the Vicariate of Sto. Niño, Spiritual Director of the Catholic Women's League, members of the Board of Consultors and one of the heads of the Cultural Heritage Committee of the Diocese of Cubao. He is also the Spiritual Director of the Missionaries of Mary and Founder of the Mary Mother of Seminarians Association.

He was born to Jose and Josefina on January 18, 1960 in Sta. Mesa, Manila. He began early education at Sacred Heart Parochial Elementary School, then at Don Bosco Technical College in Mandaluyong. He earned BSE Philosophy degree (Summa Cum Laude) from University of Sto. Tomas and Mater Dei College.

He was ordained 27 years ago to the Sacred Order of Priesthood by His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin. And next in his Sacerdotal commitment to shepherd an increasing flock was steady climb to sacramental feat.

Father Aloy's previous parish assignments includes Sto. Niño Parish (Tondo, Manila), St. John the Baptist Parish (Quiapo, Manila), Sts. Peter and John Parish (Potrero, Malabon City) and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (Cubao, Quezon City).

The 3rd Sunday of Lent

Our parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Aloy in his homily on the Mass of the 3rd sunday of Lent, expressed gratitude and thanks to the former PPC for their "selfishness" and dedication and service to the church.

He pointed out that the changing of officers were in accordance with his wish of allotting only one year of service, renewable at the judgement of the Parish Priest. Further, he re-iterated that PPC are not obligatory but only of consultative body in nature according to Canon Law.

One significant change in the PPC structure is the elimination of the TRICOM level which is composed of the Planning, Implementing, and the Finance which was in the previous set up. This, according to Fr. Aloy is left out and the officers as Execoms shall coordinate directly to the parish Priest and the Parish Priest to the Execoms.
